Vision
Everyone deserves a real shot at the life they imagine.
For most of history, that shot depended on who was backing you. Nebulum changes who the backing belongs to — building the full force of a team as software you own and run, so the only thing between a person and their life's work is the work itself.
The Nebulum family
Why we exist
A serious calling has always required a team behind you — and that team belonged only to whoever the gatekeepers chose. We exist to change who it belongs to: to hand that backing to the person doing the work, so a dream becomes something anyone willing to earn it can reach.
What we're doing about it
We build one connected system that does the job of a whole professional team, owned end to end. Today's technology does what used to take a payroll — so that team is finally affordable to one person, who keeps the ownership, the control, and the money. We're proving it first in music, through nebulum.io.
The promise we make inward
The promise we make to artists — someone has your back, so you can pour into the work that matters — is the one we make to our own people. We can't offer the world a team to stand on without building one ourselves first.
We start: independent musicians
Where the need is sharpest and the trust is most real. The founder is one of them, building for his own community.
We expand: every creator
Podcasters, video creators, writers, coaches — anyone who is a one-person business with no back office.
The horizon: anyone with a dream
Everyone doing self-directed work who needs the functions a company gives an employee, with no company to provide them.
And at home
We hold ourselves to the same promise — real investment in our own people's growth, health, and dreams, wherever those dreams lead.
Who's building this
Zale Young
Founder · musician & engineer
I'm a software engineer and an artist-producer from Kingston, Jamaica. I built Nebulum because I lived the problem it solves — and because of a bigger belief: that people deserve to spend their lives on the work that fulfills them.
Solving hard problems has been the throughline since long before Nebulum: winning Jamaica's national math olympiad as a teenager and captaining its team two places up the regional rankings, studying computer science at Middlebury, then six years at Meta hardening the network infrastructure and security that keeps billions of people online. I run my own releases through Nebulum, so its requirements come from a real artist's needs, not a focus group — and I'm funding it myself, betting my own money before I ask anyone to bet their time.
The same instinct that makes a record — hearing how every part has to fit before you play a note — is how I build systems: go a layer deeper, then build the thing that doesn't exist yet instead of bolting together five that almost work. And all of it serves one mission, bigger than any single craft or industry: everyone deserves a real shot at the life they imagine. I start with my own community because that's where the trust is most real. If that resonates, reach out — I read everything that comes in.
